Captain Hope’s Kids to host homeless at Hawaiian Falls

Splash for Hope July 9 at Hawaiian Falls Garland

Stream Energy, one of the largest direct selling companies in the world, is partnering with Captain Hope’s Kids to host more than 300 homeless children and their families for a day at Hawaiian Falls waterpark in Garland on July 9.

“We strive to be leaders in the energy industry and in the local communities we service. Partnering with Captain Hope’s Kids has really helped us dive into meeting the needs of our surrounding neighborhoods, and most importantly we’ve been able to help meet the needs of homeless children all over North Texas,” says Matt McGaughey, Stream Energy Chief Marketing Officer. “By combining our efforts with Hawaiian Falls and Captain Hope’s Kids, we’re able to give more than just a day of fun at the water park. With the help of Hawaiian Falls, we hope to be able to raise awareness and support for Captain Hope’s Kids throughout the summer, and create an experience to provide some fantastic memories for children that would otherwise not have an opportunity like this.”

Captain Hope’s Kids is dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless children by partnering with a network of shelters and social services organizations. Over the past two years, Captain Hope’s Kids has raised and donated more than $1.3 million in clothes, diapers, school supplies and more to the homeless children of North Texas. More information is available at captainhope.org.

“The thought of homeless children just breaks our hearts,” said Hawaiian Falls CEO David Busch. “When Stream Energy approached us about hosting a group of homeless children at our park, we were thrilled to be able to help. In fact, we will host more families from Captain Hope’s Kids at our other three North Texas parks in the coming weeks.”

The general public can support Captain Hope’s Kids with the purchase of discounted tickets online at http://bit.ly/HFallsCaptainHopesKids. A portion of the $18.99 ticket price (regular $26.99) will support the mission of Captain Hope’s Kids.

Stream Energy promotes the sale of energy services through a network of family and friends.
