Rockwall County 4-H to host Livestock Project Introduction Meeting

(Rockwall) July 30, 2013 – Rockwall County Livestock Mentors are hosting a Livestock Introduction meeting fro 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, August 10. This event will be held at the RISD Ag. Science Center located at 875 Riding Club Road.

This event is for Rockwall County Youth interested in having a 4-H animal livestock project including: cattle, hogs, goats, sheep, rabbits and chickens. Mentors will cover the basics you need to know before purchasing your animal projects with cost analysis figures.

4-H is for youth 8 years old and in 3rd grade through High School graduation. It is one of the largest youth organizations in the nation offering young people the opportunity to build self-esteem, build friendships, and prepare for future.

A kick off meeting for families interested in 4-H and it’s opportunities animal and non-animal related will be held September 23.
