Special delivery baby begins life’s journey with Lucky 7s

Mom Julie Williams, dad Milton Owens, and baby Journee pause for a picture before being discharged from Methodist Charlton.

(Dallas) August 8, 2013 – If her first moments of life are any indication, little Journee is destined for a life filled with good luck.

Her mom and dad were on their way to Methodist Charlton Medical Center for her delivery, but couldn’t quite make it in time. Instead, mom Julie Williams and dad Milton Owens pulled into the gas station near their home in Grand Prairie, where Journee was born at pump No. 7.

That was just the first coincidence of 7’s, which go on to include the seven letters in her name; her birth at 7:25 in July, the 7th month, 7 days before the end of the month; and her weight, just under 7 pounds.

“My friends have already nicknamed her ‘7,’” beams Williams with proud papa Milton by her side. Fortunately, paramedics were on the scene within minutes to bring the family to Methodist Charlton, where doctors confirmed mom and baby were doing fine.

Methodist Charlton Medical Center, modern teaching and community hospital has been serving Southwest Dallas, Texas, Cedar Hill, DeSoto and Duncanville since 1975.
