(COLLIN COUNTY – September 23, 2013) On Thursday, September 19th, the Children’s Chorus of Collin County was recognized as the 2013 non-profit Success Story of the Year.

This recognition was part of the Annual Recognition Luncheon, which was presented by the SCORE Chapter of Dallas. Only four organizations were recognized as ‘success stories’ of the year.

Over the past six and a half years, the Chorus has grown from one chorus with 14 charter members to more than 100 singers in three choirs.

This recognition came about because of the excellent work that Linda Gray, non-profit mentor for the Dallas Chapter of SCORE, did with helping the Children’s Chorus have such a strong start. Her guidance through the years was also cited as a contributing factor to the chorus’ phenomenal success.
