First Christian Church Rockwall celebrates Music Director/Organists’ years of service

(Rockwall) September 4, 2013 – On Sunday, September 15, First Christian Church Rockwall will celebrate the 25+1 years of ministry of their Sr. Music Director/Organist, Betty Taylor.  During that span of years,  Betty has been either organist, pianist, choir director, or hand bell choir director, and at times, all four simultaneously.

Rev. Mark Irons says, “We have all come to love and appreciate Betty’s talent and contribution to our worship experience.  She is by far the most talented and the most collaborative musician with whom I’ve ever had the privilege of serving.”

Betty retired in 2008 from teaching music in Rockwall ISD.  During her career, she taught at Campbell, Royse City, Mesquite, and Rockwall (Cullins-Lake Pointe) for the last 10 years.

Anyone who knows Betty is invited to come to the 11 am service and celebrate with us her ongoing ministry of music (this is NOT a retirement event!)  There will be a reception time after the service.
