(GARLAND – September 27, 2013) Did you know…the Garland Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club provides a low-cost after-school program featuring homework help, snacks and activities, enriched with devotional time and music?
Did you know…many families cannot afford the program, even at weekly cost lower than $50?
IKANDY wants to step up and remove the cost barrier for dozens of kids in Garland, who may otherwise be left home alone.
Come out and help IKANDY raise money for scholarships by purchasing a few second-hand treasures at a benefit yard sale. Your purchase or donation could make a life-changing difference for a local boy or girl.
The Benefit Yard Sale will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, September 28, rain or shine, on the Salvation Army parking lot, 451 W. Avenue D in Garland (at the corner of Avenue D and S Fifth Street, just south of downtown).
