Patchy the Clown comes to Rockwall’s Original Pumpkin Patch on Opening Day

Patchy the Clown brings her friend, Jimmy the Crow to the Pumpkin Patch at noon on opening day.

(ROCKWALL –  September 23, 2013) Come celebrate the beginning of Rockwall’s Original Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, Oct. 5 from Noon – 1:00 p.m. with Patchy the Scarecrow and her friend, Jimmy the Crow.  This non-scary “clown” scarecrow will perform songs and entertain with fall magic.

In real life Patchy is Margaret Clauder, a former pre-school teacher and current professional clown who has delighted children in schools and libraries throughout the DFW area and all over Texas since 2000.

Saturdays are special days for children at the Pumpkin Patch with story time at 11:00 a.m., face painting and crafts Noon – 4:00 p.m. and a special event from Noon – 1:00 p.m.   In addition to Patchy on opening day, special events on Saturdays throughout October will include Bill Watts a local storyteller, and the Rockwall Children’s Chorus and children and teens from the Rockwall Community Playhouse will perform selections from previous shows.

Rockwall’s Original Pumpkin Patch operates Saturday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Oct. 31 and is open every day from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.  It is located at 1201 Ridge Rd., Rockwall.  For schedules and more information visit our website at rockwallpumpkinpatch.com.
