Congratulations to Nichols Wealth Management
September 1, 2013 – The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates the achievements of local businesses and community organizations by featuring one outstanding business or organization each month. The Partner Spotlight of the Month is awarded to companies who have recognized and can demonstrate the added value of being a Chamber member.
The Chamber selected Tim Nichols and Nichols Wealth Management as its August 2013 Partner Spotlight of the Month. Chamber president Dana Macalik recently recognized Nichols Wealth Management in a special video presentation and handed off the traveling trophy.
“My first interaction with Tim was about a year ago, when he asked if he could meet with me,” said Macalik. “He asked if we could talk about his philosophy as a businessman, and he also shared with me many of the positive experiences he has had with other Chambers in other communities. He said he was starting his new business here and he knew that the first place he needed to come was to the offices of the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce.”
Macalik said she knew right then that she had a really great partner with the Chamber.
“Tim has since become very active as an Ambassador. He always steps up to help, whether as an event sponsor or to support our various activities throughout the year…He exemplifies what it means to receive this award,” Macalik said.
Nichols Wealth Management is an independent firm powered by LPL Financial. The firm’s mission is to learn the goals of both the business and individual investor and to utilize investment and insurance products in order to help the client meet their goals in the most proficient manner possible.
“I’ve been in this business for 11 years. A year ago, my wife and I decided to move to Rockwall just to open Nichols Wealth Management…I knew that to grow my business, I needed to become part of the community – not just be in the community. I went to Dana and proposed what I can do, how I can offer myself and my services – because I wanted to serve. By serving, it allowed me to network with other business owners and individuals, which also helped to build my credit and reputation and elevate my profile within the community,” said Nichols. “It’s almost selfish to serve as much as I have because I receive so much from it. Nichols Wealth Management has grown 3 million percent in this first year, which I find incredible. And I thank the Chamber for this opportunity.”
Raised with a cowboy’s tenacity and a gentleman’s ethic, Tim Nichols works hard to serve, protect and provide for his family, his church and his clients. Born on a farm in Nacogdoches as the third of four boys, he knows the value of hard work, patience and persistence.
He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agricultural Science and is a member of the Class of 1996. Throughout that time he was actively involved with the Corps of Cadets and graduated as a Cadet Captain.
Nichols’ experience stems from a wide variety of business sectors including agriculture, education, real estate, banking, insurance and sales. In his 10 years in the investment industry, he has helped his customers plan and pursue their goals in retirement, estate planning, college planning, asset protection (insurance), wealth generation and wealth transfer. Additionally, Tim has developed a deep working knowledge of business retirement planning (401k, SEP, SIMPLE, LIRP, etc.) and business transfer strategies.
Tim and his wife Heather have two children, ages 9 and 6. Placing the highest importance on “Team Nichols,” they make every effort to spend quality time together as a family.
