Rockwall Christian Academy invites homeschoolers to junior high athletics

(Rockwall/Rowlett) September 4, 2013 – The Rockwall Christian Academy Athletics Department Director has issued an invitation to all local home-schoolers who are middle-school age to participate in our Junior High Athletics program.

“This gives us a chance to open up our doors to the kids in our own community, and let them come and play right along side us–to be Warriors, too,” said Athletics Director Rob Vaughn as he made the announcement at RCA’s Secondary Orientation this year.

TAPPS requirements do not permit RCA to issue the same invitation to high school athletes, but the coaches are excited to have an opportunity to impact more children on the junior high level–to give them a chance to play and enjoy the camaraderie of a quality environment.

Participants will still be required to pay a nominal athletics fee and fulfill TAPPS requirements, including a physical exam and agreement to abide by the code of conduct. Upcoming junior high sports include both boys and girls basketball, followed by softball and volleyball.

For more information, contact Athletic Director Coach Vaughn at 214-460-0477 or email .

Required forms can be picked up in the Rockwall Christian secondary school office in the High School building.
