Container Gardening with Rockwall Master Gardeners

Container Gardening with Rockwall Master Gardeners

(ROCKWALL- Sept 23, 2013) Imagine a beautiful container overflowing with ornamental grasses, autumn hued mums and a selection of trailing vines.

Gardeners often dream of creating a sensational seasonal container garden with flowers and foliage whose colors, textures and forms combine for beauty in a little space.

Actually, creating such a garden is easier than it looks.  The steps include selecting appropriate containers, choosing plants that complement one another, arranging the plants in a pleasing manner, and providing water and nutrients on a regular basis.

The gardening class series has proven to be very popular and certified Rockwall County Master Gardeners are eager to share their expertise on container gardening.  Class participants will first learn the basics for successful container gardening.  A demonstration will also be presented on how to change up your container garden for the seasons and holidays.  Finally, ideas for themed gardens and gifts will be offered to the class.  There will be many visual images presented to inspire and excite the participants.
