Get lucky on Friday 13th with $5 Friday
(Rockwall) September 9, 2013 – Dodie’s Cajun Diner at The Harbor in Rockwall introduces an all new lunch menu – and to kick it off, they are doing something very unusual.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, September 13th, Dodie’s will offer any entree off their new lunch menu for only five bucks – including a soft drink or iced tea.
Choose from their 1/2 pound Smoked Gouda Burger, the Black and Bleu Burger, or Create Your Own Burger with toppings like Applewood bacon, sauteed mushrooms, grilled onions, pepper jack or gouda cheese – served up with heaping portion of Cajun fries.
Or try the manager’s favorite – Pepper Crusted Ahi Tuna Steak with wasabi mayo, jicama slaw, roasted bell pepper and cilantor on a wheat bun.
You’ll find favorites like Grilled Tilapia, Blackened Mahi Mahi and the Fried Catfish Plate, plus New Orleans specialties like Crawfish Etouffee, Jambalaya, Shrimp Creole, Seafood Gumbo and Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. With Pasta Monica, Fettuccine Alfredo and Shrimp and Andouille Mac and Cheese on the lunch menu – and Dodie’s famous Blackened Shrimp Salad and Grille Salmon Salad – there’s something for everyone. And all for only $5 on Friday the 13th!
“We’re inviting everyone to come in and experience our new, chef-inspired lunch entrees. We are known for our great Cajun cooking for your dinnertime experience, but not many equate us to a lunch destination,” said Dan Keils, General Manager. “With our quick, convenient and value-rich lunch options, we’ll have you in and out in 45 minutes – parking and all. We are priced right, too. Even when we’re not running the $5 Friday introductory special, our lunch menu starts at only $6.49 – and the average cost is about 8 bucks.”
Keils said that Dodie’s expects to attract both the business and the casual diner for lunch. The restaurant is working hard to cater to the business community by making their lunches affordable, great tasting and fast.
Keils added that Dodie’s will also accommodate large meetings with advance reservations, and many times will be able to offer a volume price.
