In Her Shoes 5k takes steps against domestic violence
(ROCKWALL-Sept 26, 2013) Women in Need will present its 3rd annual In Her Shoes 5K and one-mile fun run beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28.
Women In Need, Inc. provides hope and help for victims of domestic violence. All proceeds from this event will go directly to support the shelter, 24-hour hotline, support groups for women, court advocacy, education and prevention to be used in Rockwall and Hunt County Schools.
The event will offer unique prizes for the top women finishers.
The race will start and finish at Harry Myers Park (spray park entrance) in Rockwall. Race day registration will be be at 7:45 a.m. The one mile fun run begins at 8:30 a.m. The 5k Run starts at 9.
