Rockwall’s Community Wellness Day Oct 5

Event includes ‘Ultimate Recycling Day’ benefiting the Rockwall Rotary Club

(Rockwall) September 26, 2013 – Rockwall’s Community Wellness Day is part of a FREE national event that focuses on providing helpful information to community members on issues that are critical to the total wellness of residents.

Community Wellness Day activities are set for noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 5th at Utley Middle School. The event is presented by Ideal Balance: A Chiropractic Wellness Center, and Dr. Jenna Webster-Zellars.

Local law enforcement will provide important identification information for children, families and seniors. The local fire department will be on hand addressing fire prevention and safety. Other topics include car safety, bicycle safety, internet safety, identity and fraud protection and financial literacy. Take advantage of health screenings and drug/alcohol awareness programs and senior services.

Community Wellness Day has partnered with Bubb Fundraising in the Ultimate Recycling Program, benefiting the Rockwall Rotary Club. Donate your used or unwanted items, in any condition – damaged, non-working or fully operational. Among the list of items accepted are: computers, cameras, office equipment, entertainment electronics, multimedia, clothing and accessories, toys and games, portable electronics, video games, sporting goods, musical instruments, home and garden, food, jewelry and non-fiction books.  Donation boxes will be available at Utley Middle School from noon to 3 p.m. during the Community Wellness Day event.
