(ROCKWALL _ October 23, 2013) First Christian Church Rockwall, located at 3375 Ridge Road 1.4 mile south of I-30 (across from Chandlers Landing), will host an Alternative Gift Fair from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 2. The fair will continue in between worship services (9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m.) on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Christmas is right around the corner. As you are making your gift list, why not consider making a difference in someone else’s life at the same time? Come shop a large selection of fair trade items including artisan handcrafts and food items. By purchasing these items, you provide life-changing opportunities for marginalized artisans, farmers and their families around the world. With your help, they can earn a fair income, send their children to school, develop vital community projects like water wells and medical clinics and learn new skills. Items available include baskets, jewelry, nativity scenes, scarves, decorative items, coffee and chocolate and much more from SERRV, Equal Exchange and cooperatives in El Salvador, Thailand and Burma.
