Rockwall Habitat for Humanity thanks supporters, volunteers

302 Ross St. is dedicated to Villalobos family with an unprecedented event

(ROCKWALL – October 22, 2013) Rockwall Habitat for Humanity would like to give a big thank you to the Rockwall Fire Department, (Chief Mark Poindexter) and Station #1 on Boydstun Ave for providing them with ice each Saturday at their latest worksite.

RHFH finished the build for the Villalobos family, now happily residing at 302 Ross St.  Before this already deserving family closed on their new home, a donor stepped forward and paid off their entire mortage.

“We’ve had very generous donations in the lifetime of the Rockwall Habitat chapter, but this sets a new record,” said Cindy Bruemmer, RHFH.

On Saturday, October 12th, RHFH officially dedicated the home. In-N-Out Burger brought their food truck out and served up burgers and there was a bounce house for all the kids to play in.

Thank you also to the following businesses of Rockwall, individuals and organizations who provided meals to volunteers or special services to RHFH during this build. Their continued support of RHFH and generosity are sincerely appreciated.
