Rest Haven and The Flower Box to host Veteran’s Day old-fashioned USO Canteen
(ROCKWALL – October 24, 2013) On Monday, November 11th, from 7 to 9 a.m., Ted Cain’s Used Car Lot on Rockwall’s Historic Downtown Square will be transformed into an old-fashioned USO Canteen with festive decorations, music and refreshments. All local veterans, along with their family and friends, are invited to visit the “drive thru” style Canteen and enjoy complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and donuts.
“Our staff will be decked out in their red, white, and blue at Ted’s Car Lot on the corner of Kaufman and San Jacinto Streets,” said Ann Cain, owner of The Flower Box. “Whether they want to drive through or park and stay awhile, we hope that our veterans and their families will stop by and join us at this fun event to honor our veterans.”
Over the years, Dewayne and Ann Cain have taken great pride in honoring local veterans with various programs and celebrations at The Flower Box and at Rest Haven. “We can never give back enough, or find enough ways to express our appreciation to all the men and women who have served our great nation,” said Dewayne Cain, President and Founder of Rest Haven. “All of our efforts to say thank you to our veterans are heartfelt, and our entire Rest Haven staff considers it a privilege to participate in any opportunity to express their gratitude.”
