ROCKWALL – December 16, 2013 – Amy Parks Heath Elementary students would like to thank all those who donated to their APHE First Grade Big Hearts for Breakfast Food Drive.

APHE first graders provided four shopping carts full of cereal and granola bars to the Rockwall County Helping Hands Food Pantry.

“I had the privilege of making the delivery to Helping Hands and can tell you they are very appreciative.  Three different workers approached me to say thank you and tell me how low they currently are on breakfast items.  What a wonderful thing to be able to meet a specific need in our community!” said Jenni Knox, APHE First Grade Volunteer Coordinator. “Thank you to our first grade teachers for teaching our children caring through giving.”

The Helping Hands Food Pantry accepts donations year round.  For more info, visit their website at rockwallhelpinghands.com/current-needs/.
