(December 27, 2013) Lone Star CASA will host information sessions for those interested in serving as a volunteer advocate, working with abused children of Kaufman and Rockwall counties.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers are appointed by a judge to discover the best possible outcome for an abused or neglected child’s future. It is the goal of the CASA volunteer that every one of these children is in a safe, permanent home and has hope for a better life.
You don’t have to be a lawyer or social worker to be a volunteer. CASA welcomes volunteers from all cultures, professions, and educational backgrounds.
