WYLIE (December 20, 2013) In-Sync Exotics announced that several recent donations will allow the wildlife rescue and education center to move forward with a long-held dream for the sanctuary. The cats will be getting a onsite veterinary clinic.
“As you may remember, this summer we battled an outbreak of canine distemper and ultimately lost seven cats to the disease; however, the mission of In-Sync Exotics continues. We are still dedicated to the rescue of abused, neglected, or unwanted exotic cats. In an effort to continue our commitment, it has been our desire to build an onsite vet clinic that will allow us to quarantine, treat, and/or closely monitor cats in need. The clinic will offer indoor/outdoor spaces for cats, exam rooms, and an operating room, all equipped with industry standard equipment,” wrote an In-Sync representative.
“We reached out to some of our loyal supporters to express this need, and we are proud to say several of them have really come through for us! The Holiday Spirit is alive and well in Wylie, Texas. We are honored to announce recent donations of around $70,000, enough for us to break ground and begin construction!
To finish, furnish and equip the vet clinic we will need an additional $150,000. Most of our 2014 fundraising efforts will likely be focused on meeting this goal (of course, the cats’ immediate needs such as food, medication, shelter, etc will always come first).”
In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center, located at 3430 Skyview Drive in Wylie, is dedicated to the rescue and care of abused, neglected, or unwanted exotic cats. There are now 52 exotic cats calling In-Sync home. This includes three exceptionally rare white lions, a golden tabby tiger, a white tiger and two cheetahs.
