ROCKWALL COUNTY (January 28, 2014) The Boys & Girls Club of Rockwall County has an immediate opening for:
Title: Part time Youth Development Specialist
Positions available: Recreation and fitness ($8 per hr 20-25 hours a week)
Schedule: This position is a year round Monday through Friday with occasional weekend events.
School Year Hours are primarily 3pm to 7pm.
Pay Rate: $8.00
Reports to: Director of Program Services or Site Director
Primary function:
Will be responsible for implementing programs impacting members education, character development, health and fitness, arts, and recreation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing appropriate supervision of youth ranging from 6 years old to 18 years of age.
2. Will ensure the environment and activities are developmentally appropriate and safe for members.
3. Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members.
4. Complete any other reasonable responsibilities assigned by Director of Program Services.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
High school Diploma or GED
Preferably having experience with working with youth.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Group leadership skills.
Preferred Bilingual
