Lake Pointe appoints new Chief Nursing Officer

ROWLETT (January 21, 2014)  Lake Pointe Health Network, based in Rowlett, recently appointed Jeanne Reeves as its new chief nursing officer. Reeves is responsible for advising and ensuring outstanding patient care along with improving LPHN’s nationally recognized quality indicator performance.

“Lake Pointe is especially honored to have Jeanne Reeves as its new CNO,” said Brett Lee, chief executive officer for LPHN. “More than two decades of experience in progressive managerial, administrative and executive roles in the healthcare industry, coupled with her commitment to excellence and quality patient care, make Jeanne an invaluable addition to our organization.”

A 28-year nursing veteran, Reeves has proven strategic-thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills. Prior to working with LPHN, Reeves served as vice president of patient care at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center for seven years, where she was responsible for perpetuating the hospital’s mission and enhancing patient care.  Additionally, Reeves participated with the governing board, medical staff and management in the organization’s strategic planning processes and managed operations and administration of all clinical departments. She also was responsible for overseeing credentialing and peer review activities for allied health professionals and physician employed paramedical staff at an executive level.

Reeves also previously served as CNO for Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston, W.Va. and North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell, Ga. Her leadership strength and emphasis on customer service allow her to excel in strategic hospital planning while focusing her attention on growth and efficiency. In 2013, she was honored with the D Magazine Nursing Administration Award and was a regional finalist for Nurse.com’s Advancing and Leading the Profession Award.

Reeves received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Murray State University in Kentucky and her Master of Science degree in Organizational Management, with a specialization in leadership from Capella University in Minnesota. She has her Texas registered nurse license and is a member of various professional organizations, including the American Nurses Association, the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses and the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives, where she also is a board director.
