Meals on Wheels volunteer Jim Otto in the spotlight

ROCKWALL COUNTY (January 22, 2014) Meals on Wheels Senior Services recently recognized Jim Otto as Volunteer Spotlight for the month of December.

“Jim is one of our super subs we see frequently, sometimes 3,4 even 5 times a week.  Always professional and always with a smile even when he takes in 2 or 3 drivers with small routes when the kitchen cannot catch up with his large route.  At any of our special dinners like Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years we always see Jim hovering ready to step in if we need a sub on any route,” writes Rob Kimmelman.

Jim lives in the McLendon Chisholm area with his wife MaryAnn who sometimes accompanies Jim on his routes.  Jim  is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, helping people achieve the dream of home ownership.  Jim and Mary Ann have been volunteering with MOWSS since June, 2006.
