ROCKWALL (January 4, 2013) Congratulations to Diane Porter on being recognized as the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Month.
Diane is co-owner of Weight Off for Life, which is in its 6th year with an office in Rockwall as well as in Dallas, Texas. Weight Off for Life’s first office was within the pharmacy in Dallas.
Diane also serves as Vice President and co-owner of Pharmacy Compounding Specialties, a natural compounding pharmacy located in Dallas, now in its 11th year of service.
Diane is a Certified Health Coach and Regional Director with Take Shape for Life. Weight Off for Life, co-owned by Diane and her husband, Dr. Jim Porter, incorporates the Take Shape for Life program, the FREE and professional coaching division of Medifast, a publically held company in business for over 30 years. Diane coaches individuals to optimal health on a local, statewide and national level. The Habits of Health system that is taught in this comprehensive nutritional program helps individuals to not only lose the weight, but keep it off long-term. There is not other program of its kind available in the United States.
Diane is a Masters Prepared Registered Nurse and an Applied Clinical Nutritionist. She served as an Assistant Professor at Texas Woman’s University’s school of nursing at the Parkland campus for 6 years and Director of Public Relations and Marketing for Dallas Rehabilitation Institute in Dallas for 8 years as well as President of American Medical Sales School for 10 years, a nationwide training, publishing, and recruiting firm that she was involved in creating from its inception.
She earned the Great One Hundred Nurses award in Dallas, in 1992 and completed the Dale Carnegie sales training course, winning the Human Relations award. She was a national speaker offering soft skills training and loves to educate others.
She graduated from Barry University, in Miami Shores, Fla with her Bachelors’s degree in Nursing and Texas Woman’s University with her Master’s Degree in nursing.
Diane and her husband moved from the Dallas area to Rockwall over 8 years ago. They have 2 daughters and son-in-laws and 4 grandchildren Living in Dallas and McKinney – plus four furry children.
Diane also serves as an Ambassador for the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce.
