It is that time of the year again, Rockwall- Heath’s chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is putting on the 2nd annual Faith, Heart, & Sole 5K Color Run.
In 2012 Rockwall-Heath High school lost one of their students to domestic violence. RHHS- FCCLA members would like to continue their efforts to raise awareness of domestic violence and honor her memory by holding their 2nd annual Faith, Heart, & Sole 5K Color Run. FCCLA’s main goals are to inform the community about the facts of domestic violence, show them the resources available in our community, raise money for Women in Need- an organization dedicated to assisting victims of domestic/family violence, a scholarship in memory of our RHHS student.
Please join us and our efforts to end domestic violence by being a part of the Faith, Heart, & Sole 5K Color Run on Saturday February 22, 2014 at Wilkerson Sanders Stadium. Ages up to 12 can participate in a 1K Color Run that will begin at 9:00 am; the 5K will begin shortly after. There will be a kid’s carnival and a DJ present during and after the race! Sign up before February 6th for $20 and receive a T-shirt and a race pack full of goodies, after that date the price goes up to $25, and T-shirts and race packs are not guaranteed.
