Home School High School Team Starting
In a first of its kind program, the Rockwall Water Polo Club will develop and enter a Home School High School team in the North Texas High School Water Polo Division.
“We had a parent whose kids are home-schooled and they really got the ball rolling on this,” said club president Jim Hummingbird. “I appointed Linda Fletcher to chair a committee to help set this up and we are proud to be the first to do this in the state of Texas. We hope this leads to other opportunities for home-schooled kids across Texas and other parts of the United States to play in a high school environment.”
The team will comprise mostly home-schooled athletes who will compete against other North Texas high schools and participate in the North Texas Consolidated High School tournament at the end of the season.
If you are home schooled, high school aged student taking high school courses, the Rockwall Water Polo Club invites you to come play. Practices are on same days and at the same time as youth practices.
