Three Rowlett organizations receive Cultural Arts Grants

ROWLETT (February 19, 2014) The Rowlett Arts and Humanities Commission has presented its 2014 awards to three organizations as part of the Cultural Arts Grants program in the City of Rowlett.

Artists ‘Round Texas is receiving $500 in support of their visual artist programs and classes. The Lakeshore Symphonic Winds is receiving $750 to support its public performance music and venue expenses. And the Lakes Cities Chorale is receiving $750 to help with vocal music and performance venue expenses.

The recipients share opportunities to involve citizens and exhibit and perform in the Rowlett and surrounding communities emphasizing the talents of local artists.

The Cultural Grants program is an annual program funded by the Rowlett City Council.  More information on the program and other programs of local support may be found on the City of Rowlett website under the Arts and Humanities Commission webpage.
