ROWLETT, TX (March 15, 2014) Do you have what it takes to build a boat made out cardboard well enough to win the first ever Rowlett Cardboard Boat Regatta?
Put your engineering skills to the test at this event which will be taking place at Community Park after “Kid Fish” at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26.
Community Park will be full of spectators waiting to see who will float, sink or swim their boats. Contestants will make boats out of cardboard and tape and will rely on their inventions to keep them afloat as they race across the Community Park Pond. Pre-registration is required and some building supplies will be provided. Life jackets are required. Prizes will be awarded to the winners!
*Perfect team-building activity for schools, churches, local businesses, sports teams, families and friends!
Age Groups:
Youth (Ages 8-13)
Adult (Ages 14 & up)
Boat Size: Dolphin (3-5 crew members)

Fee: $40 if you register by April 1st and $60 if you register after April 1st. (Registration ends on Saturday, April 19th)
