ROCKWALL (April 7, 2014; original announcement published Jan 28, 2014) Leigh Plagens filed for the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees for her final term in place 6. She runs unopposed in place 6.
Leigh has been involved with education her whole life – 37 years in the classroom and 12 years as a board member.
When asked why she was seeking another term, she replied, “A good education is the only way to live your best possible life, and anything I can do to help achieve that for RISD students is not only my goal but my obligation.”
The 2014 Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees election will be held on Saturday, May 10.
Rockwall ISD has just one opposed race for its school board. Incumbent Stephanie Adams faces three opponents for the Place 7 seat. Adams will run against Chad Higbee, Leslie Milder and David Schwartz.
