ROWLETT, TX (May 19, 2014) Bring the entire family to downtown Rowlett to as we celebrate Memorial Day and honor our fallen military heroes. The event begins with the Memorial Day ceremony at 10:00 A.M. in Veteran’s Park, adjacent to the Library at 3900 Main Street, honoring the men and women who gave their lives to preserve our freedom.
Following the ceremony, the event continues with ‘Touch-A-Truck’, a fun and educational opportunity for children of all ages to touch, climb on, in and explore vehicles of all sizes. Featured will be a DART bus, Kyle Busch’s #18 Interstate Battery Camry racecar, School bus, Dump Truck, Front End Loader, Tractor Trailer, Fire Truck, Rowlett Ambulance, Police Car, Motorcycle and SWAT vehicle, Police Command Post, VIPS unit, Mowers, Tractor, Trash Truck, Tow Truck and more!
There will also be bounce houses, crafts and face painting as well as other kid’s activities.
