ROCKWALL, TX (May 12, 2014) The City of Rockwall presents The Charlie Daniels Band as the featured attraction at this year’s Founders Day Festival on Saturday, May 17.  The event will be at Harry Myers Park (945 E. Washington Street) instead of on the square due to the $8.625 million improvement project underway in downtown Rockwall.

Charlie Daniels will take the stage at 7 p.m., following an all-day lineup of live entertainment. A country, southern rock artist, Daniels was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008 and the Musicians Hall of Fame in 2009.

Festivities start at 10 am and will include arts and crafts marketplace, great food for sale all day, a large kid zone with games, bounce houses and more.  Admission, parking and live entertainment are FREE.
