Harriet needs a home

ROCKWALL, TX (June 12, 2014) Editor’s Note: This is not our usual Blue Ribbon News Pet of the Week, but we felt compelled to add her story to our lineup of sweet pets needing homes. We want every homeless pet to find a forever home, and Harriett is in desperate need of a family.

Harriet is an awesome, five-year-old girl who has lived in a kennel in a boarding facility for the past two years with her pal Valentine in the kennel next to her; that was until this past weekend…You see, Valentine was adopted and now our girl Harriet is EXTREMELY DEPRESSED. She needs a foster or forever home ASAP…

Harriet loves all people, big and small. She loves other dogs, big and small. She is good with cats, and she rides well in a car and walks great on a leash. She is a calm girl just looking for love.

Her rescuer writes that Harriet was originally adopted when she was only six months old, but her adopter lost his job and home after having her for four years, so she was returned to rescue.  She has been back in rescue for almost two years and needs desperately to get out.
