ROCKWALL, TX (June 18, 2014) The Rockwall Police Department has seen an increase in burglary of motor vehicles. Please follow these steps to reduce your chances of becoming a victim:
REMOVE all interior valuables from plain view. Place these items in the trunk.
DO NOT leave any items of value in your vehicle unattended, especially overnight.
LOCK all doors and roll up all windows.
AT HOME, if possible, put your vehicle in a garage and lock the door.
Burglary of a motor vehicle is a crime of opportunity. Please don’t become a victim. Protect your vehicle and personal property.
