Rockwall Chamber’s Caddyshack Golf Open June 20

ROCKWALL, TX (June 9, 2014) The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce will present its 22nd Annual Rockwall Open Golf Tournament Friday, June 20th at Buffalo Creek Golf Club. There will be one shotgun start  at 1 p.m., with practice balls 30 minutes prior to tee time.

Registration and a  box lunch will be available at 12 noon. The Caddyshack-themed tournament will be a Florida Scramble format.

“The 4-person scramble format makes the tournament fun, even for those of us who are far from being good at the game,” said Chamber President Dana Macalik. “There will be a chance to win a car from Lakeside Chevrolet for a hole-in-one.”

“Besides the tournament, we also have a very fun pre-tournament dinner and par-tee with live entertainment  at Culpepper’s on the evening before the tournament for all players and their guests. There will also be some great raffle and auction items to bid on that evening,” Macalik said.

The Chamber thanks it title sponsors, American National Bank/ ANB Wealth Management and The Timpa Law Office, as well as its other sponsors: Alliance Bank, B.C. Golf, Charter Communications, Rod Holland Real Estate, Farmers Electric Cooperative, Hill & Wilkinson, Lake Pointe Medical Center, Lakeside Chevrolet, Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP, MidSouth Bank,  Nichols Wealth Management, Oncor Electric, Rockwall Economic Development Corporation, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall,  Vice & Henley,  Williamson Foundation Repair and Young Hyundai of Rockwall.

The tournament entry fee is $550 for a team, which includes the pre-tournament dinner/par-tee, green fees, carts, range balls, goody bags and lunch. There are only a few team spots still available as well as several Eagle sponsorship opportunities. Call Paula Kerr at 972-771-5733 to discuss one of these sponsorships.

Also, if you would like to donate 144 small items to put in the goody bags or an auction item, please contact the Chamber office.

“This is definitely going to be a fun filled event – participation is limited and is filling up fast.  If you are interested in volunteering to help with this event, please call Paula at the Chamber.   We hope you will come join other chamber members and friends – you won’t want to miss it!” said Macalik.
