ROCKWALL, TX (June 11, 2014) Cathy Bedsole and Alison Fox recently presented a $13,500 check on behalf of Rockwall Women’s League to Melody Hail, Development Director for Rockwall County Helping Hands. The money is designated for uninsured children that are patients of the Health Center at Helping Hands.
Bedsole is president of RWL and Fox chaired the 2014 Women’s League Ball.
Rockwall Women’s League established the Children’s Medical Fund in 1986 with a check for $1,000. Helping Hands administers the fund, arranging to pay for medical costs for uninsured children in Rockwall County. In 2004, the Health Center employed its first Family Nurse Practitioner and began seeing children on site. Over 1,000 children under the age of 18 received services at or through the Health Center in 2013.
