ROCKWALL, TX (July 5, 2014) The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to honor Dorothy Spradlin as its Ambassador of the Month.
Since beginning in the banking industry in 2003, Dorothy has come to realize that “serving” clients goes a long way. She understands that when you are helping clients with their everyday needs and even their life changes, you have not only “established rapport and gained their confidence” but you have set the “standard for clients to trust you. In the banking industry, Dorothy holds steadfast in her belief that “knowing that clients trust and depend on you for guidance and financial needs speaks volumes.”
Currently serving as a “Relationship Banker” for BB&T, Dorothy has served the Rockwall area since 2007. Dorothy explains that she “was exposed to many of Rockwall’s finest community leaders and the door opened for me to do what I love, which is serving.”
To continue her life of servitude, Dorothy makes it a point to be very active in community organizations such as the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce, Wineshare, Lakeside Biz, and Women in Business. Dorothy is also currently serving on the Board for Rockwall MusicFest and continues to volunteer for the Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta that benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Rockwall and Meals on Wheels. With Dorothy’s involvement, she has come to know that “making people feel that they are welcome is key to retaining clients and making an impact in the community.”
When Dorothy is not actively participating in her work or the community, she enjoys shopping for shoes, spending time with family and friends, fishing, sewing, or singing. You can also find Dorothy at her home church, Generations Church located in Fate where she sings with the praise team.
