ROCKWALL, TX (July 30, 2014) The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Darby Burkey as the new Director of Marketing and Communications for the Chamber.
Darby is charged with directing the growth of the Chamber by developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies supporting innovative, high-value events and programs including Leadership Rockwall,
strengthening the local economy with Shop Local initiatives and comprehensive strategic plans that advance the Chamber’s mission, impact and image within the community.
Darby is a 15+ year professional with extensive expertise in marketing, event planning and operations. She has owned and operated a small business in Rockwall, directly responsible for driving revenue, developing its brand equity and increasing value. Darby is a graduate of University of North Texas with a Marketing/Communications degree. She is married to Chad and they have three children.
“I’m excited that Darby will be representing our Chamber and the local business community. She has been a dedicated member of the Chamber for many years. She was our 2012 Small Business of the Year recipient and served on the Board of Directors. She understands this community and fully recognizes the Chamber’s goals and objectives. Coupled with her solid marketing and project management background, this makes her a
perfect fit to our organization,” said Chamber President Dana K. Macalik.
