Rockwall Helping Hands seeks back to school donations

ROCKWALL, TX. (July 23, 2014) While the temperatures climb and we head into the lazy days of summer, Rockwall County Helping Hands is busy making plans to help local kids in struggling families get a good start into the new school year.

Rockwall County Helping Hands is raising money and gathering school supplies to help over 1,200 students in Rockwall and Royse City schools have a successful school year.

Students eligible to receive supplies come from low-income families and often from families that have suffered loss of employment or extreme medical issues. Everyday Helping Hand’s serves families living in poverty.

There is over 1,200 kids needing supplies, and Helping Hand’s wants to provide each child with as much of the required supplies as possible.

Helping Hand’s goal is to spend at least $20 per child. Donations of any amount are beneficial and welcomed. Donations in early July are extremely helpful to aid in the distribution for the school supplies because the distribution date is August 2nd.

Help Rockwall County kids get a jump start into the next school year by making a monetary donation at www.rockwallhelpinghands.com or mail a check to:
