ROCKWALL, TX (August 21, 2014) The City of Rockwall is now accepting applications for students who wish to be considered for the 2014-2015 Rockwall Youth Advisory Council (YAC). Applicants must be freshmen through seniors who reside within the city limits of the City of Rockwall.
The purpose of the Rockwall YAC is to provide participation by local youth in municipal government and to teach students about local government operations. The YAC takes initiatives directed toward effective change that benefits local youth and provides positive community impact through organized participation in various city sponsored activities and events.

At least one letter of recommendation is required, and applications are due no later than Thursday, September 4. Interviews will follow on Monday, September 8.
