Rockwall Chamber recognizes Brenda Cross as Ambassador of the Month

ROCKWALL, TX (August 21, 2014) The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce recently recognized Brenda Cross as its Ambassador of the Month.

Brenda is the owner of My Guardian for Life Home Health and is currently assisting Rock Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care as Community Sales Director. Brenda has been in the senior health care field for the past five years. She got her start by taking care of her father in her home while he was suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. She felt
fortunate to be able to care for him for the last three years of his life.

Brenda has a passion for her community and is very involved in civic activities. In addition to serving as a Chamber Ambassador, she completed the Leadership Rockwall Program in 2012 and has remained active in Leadership.

Brenda also serves on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall; and Chairman of the Board for Grace Center for Community Development.

Her favorite passion is the Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta, which benefits the Boys & Girls Club and Meals on Wheels. Brenda started the Duck Regatta in 2012 with Fire Marshal Ariana Hargrove as a project from their Leadership Rockwall Class. The Duck Regatta was not selected by the class, so they did it on their own.

Together, Brenda and Ariana also started the Firefighters Ball in 2013, which benefits injured firefighters. Presently, Brenda has worked with the City of Rockwall to create the first Rockwall Cash Mob.

In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, reading, movies, game nights and dinner with friends. She is the proud mother of three grown boys, Brad, Bryan and Brandon, and one standard poodle, Romeo.
