Rockwall High swimmers sweep competition at Season Opener

ROCKWALL,TX. (September 22, 2014) Rockwall boys and girls swim teams defeated both Heath and McKinney in their first swim meet of the season at McKinney High School on Tuesday, September 16th.

Rockwall girls won 6 of the 8 individual events as well as 2 of the 3 relays at the meet. Rockwall boys won 4 of the 8 individual events and 2 of the 3 relays at the meet.

Lady Jacket Event Winners:

Amanda Armstrong (Fr): 100 Freestyle

Raena Eldridge (Sr): 50 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle

Kelsey Franks (So): 500 Freestyle

Kyla Maxwell (So): 200 Individual Medley, 100 Breaststroke

200 Freestyle Relay: Raena Eldridge (Sr), Amanda Armstrong (Fr), Jasmin Sani (So), Morgan Barnes (Sr)

400 Freestyle Relay: Amanda Armstrong (Fr), Raena Eldridge (Sr), Jasmin Sani (So), Morgan Barnes (Sr)

Yellowjacket Boys Event Winners:

Noah Day (Sr): 100 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke

William Rapp (Sr): 200 Individual Medley, 100 Breaststroke

200 Medley Relay: Noah Day (Sr), Evan Scown (Sr), Mitchell Eldridge (Jr), William Rapp (Sr)

400 Freestyle Relay: Noah Day (Sr), Mitchell Eldridge (Jr), William Rapp (Sr), Ethan Dupre (So)

Rockwall’s next meet will be the annual Frisco Sprint Invitational on Saturday, September 27th. Rockwall’s first home meet will be a 7-school matchup on October 9th with Rockwall ISD and Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD participating.
