Half of the donation was made by Toyota Motor Sales,U.S.A., Inc. as part of Toyota’s Matching grant program. For the second year in a row, the donation will fund a teacher grant program to supplement classroom instruction.

Toyota of Rockwall awarded a total of 10 grants for the 2013-2014 school year for a total of $5,000. Begin with the End in Mind, Art for Learning – Art for Teaching and Building a Better Tomorrow are just a few examples of the projects that have been funded. The new set of winners for the 2014-2015 school year will be announced in December.

Toyota of Rockwall opened the first ever GOLD LEED dealership on the planet in 2008 and has consistently given back to the community since that time. The dealership’s primary philanthropy is supporting public education in Rockwall County. As you drive through the county, you might spot one of the two Toyotas that are being driven by the 2014 Teachers of the Year from Rockwall ISD.
