Lone Star CASA Superhero 5k flies in Nov 1

ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX (October 4, 2014) Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) will host its annual SUPERHERO 5K Race and Fun Run Saturday, November 1 at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium in Rockwall.  The annual race benefits neglected and abused children in Rockwall and Kaufman Counties.

Race day features a children’s fun run; a certified 5K run / walk; and children’s activities during the morning. Runners receive a race T-shirt and ribbons for age group winners. Food and refreshments are available to race participants.

Early adult registration fees are $25 and $15 for children.  Special fees are available for teams entering the race.  Runners may register on line or on race day at the stadium.  Runners registering early may pick-up their race packages at the RockwallRunningCenter, 539 Interstate 30, Rockwall.  To register on-line go to lonestarcasa.org.

Race day check-in and late registration starts at 7:00a.m. The race day starts with the Kids Fun Run at 8:30a.m.  The 5K Run / Walk certified race begins at 9:00a.m., the race is followed by the awards presentation.

Lone Star CASA is seeking sponsors for the race.  Exhibit space is available to sponsors on race day and all who underwrite a sponsorship prior to October 15 will have their name imprinted on the T-shirts and other event publicity.
