Rockwall High recognizes ‘Character Counts Star Students’

ROCKWALL, TX (October 7, 2014) Rockwall High School proudly recognizes Jessica Brunson and Gabriel Colmenares as its “Character Counts Star Students” for the first six weeks of school.

As part of the Rockwall ISD’s commitment to developing character in its students, the district has established a Character Education program at RHS. Each six-weeks grading period, students are provided with opportunities to exercise six pillars of character – responsibility, respect, fairness, citizenship, caring and trustworthiness.

The character trait that was highlighted during the first six weeks is TRUSTWORTHINESS.

Teachers submitted their nominations on who they felt exemplified this character trait. Jessica was nominated by Mrs. Homer and Linda Smith. Gabriel was nominated by Melissa Hunt.

Congratulations to these students on this honor.

Submitted by Kim Gamble, Counselor, Rockwall High School.
