Grant from Texas Bar Foundation to assist Lone Star CASA

ROCKWALL, TX (Nov. 25, 2014) The Texas Bar Foundation has granted $5,000 to Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates serving the children of Rockwall and Kaufman Counties) to assist the program in providing data relating to the advocacy of the abused and neglected children involved in the court systems of the two-county program area.  Gathering and reporting this information is essential to the continued operation of the organization and is used as the basis for reporting throughout the year.

Lone Star CASA is most appreciative to the Texas Bar Foundation for this grant which will assist the program in purchasing, installing and training staff on updated CASA software and facilitate the collection and analysis of data related to volunteer Advocates working with abused and neglected children.

Since its inception in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation has awarded more than $15 million in grants to law-related programs. Supported by members of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation is the nation’s largest charitably-funded bar foundation.
