ROCKWALL, TX (November 13, 2014) November 27, 2014 marks a very special occasion for Barbara and Roland Ruble. On that day they will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
Barbara and Roland are the proud parents of three children and the doting grandparents of six grandchildren. They are: son, Kevin Ruble and his two children, Meghan and Killian; son, Tod Ruble, his wife, Angela, and their two children Abigail and Logan; and daughter, Susan Ruble Burt, her husband Mike Burt, and two children Emily Burt and Alexandria West.
Their life activities have resulted in the Ruble family having moved some 17 times and having resided in Indiana, Illinois, Connecticut, Florida, and finally in Texas where they have lived for a total of 35 years, the last 16 of which have been in Rockwall.
In addition to her church life where she served as a Mentor, Barbara has also been involved in the community. She has been active in Newcomers and has served as a Rockwall County Master Gardener. Roland has been involved in their consulting business and more recently serving as a board member and on the staff of Lone Star CASA.
Their children and grandchildren will all gather to help Barbara and Roland commemorate this anniversary with a private dinner and celebration at a local restaurant on Saturday just two days after the anniversary date.
