ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX (November 12, 2014) On Wednesday morning, November 12, 2014, seven RHHS athletes from the Varsity Baseball, Girls’ Basketball, and Volleyball teams signed on the dotted line to commit to play at the next level.

Signing to play collegiate baseball are:  Tyler Pinkston—Stephen F. Austin Sate University, Tyler Ivey—Texas A&M University, and Clayton Rasbeary—Stephen F. Austin State University.

Each head coach took time to congratulate and speak individually about the players.  Head Baseball Coach Greg Harvey said, “We’re very proud to have 3 Division 1 players sign today and we’re very happy for them.  We are super proud of ‘em…we expect great things in the next year, and we wish them great things as they move on.”

Advising the athletes on the challenges they will face and the importance of choosing their company wisely at the next level and staying on the right path, Volleyball Head Coach Maggie Younger said, “Get to your campus and find the right friends.”

Webster is the first ever RHHS female athlete to sign to play collegiate basketball.  Head Coach Devin Gabbard described her as, “a mother hen who takes care of all the freshman chicks,” and detailed her growth over her years as a player.  “It’s exciting to see my hard work pay off and to represent Heath at the next level; and I get to live right on the beach!”  Webster said.
