ROCKWALL, TX (Feb. 4, 2015) The Rockwall Youth Advisory Council (YAC) students recently attended the Texas Municipal League’s Youth Advisory Commission Summit hosted by the City of Killeen. YAC students pictured from left are: Bethany Villalobos, Cate Ghormley, Isabella Burzair (YAC Chair), Baldwin Bakkal, Elsa Castro, Beth Naylor, Mie Pighee, Reid Rakow and Jake Mirelez.
The YAC offers participation by local youth in municipal government. It teaches students about local government operations. They take initiatives directed toward effective change that benefits youth and provides community impact through organized participation in city sponsored activities and events.
