(ROCKWALL, TX – March 30, 2015) Texas A&M University-Commerce hosted the annual Sonata-Sonatina Competition for piano students on Saturday, March 7.
Young pianists of all ages competed for cash awards in 18 different levels. Several local students from the studio of Michele McDonald were selected to play in the finals: Justus Aryani, Level 1; Cyrus Aryani, Level 3, Jayna Yoon, Level 5; Nikki Vu, Level 10; Emily Vu, Level 12 and Kevin Kim, Level 14. Recipients of first place awards were Cyrus Aryani, Jayna Yoon, and Kevin Kim.
