Rockwall Aspasians paint pup-themed mosaic at Art’s A Blast for Patriot Paws

ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX (March 23, 2015) Around 30 Aspasians of Rockwall-Heath brought out their inner Da Vinci on St. Patrick’s Day and painted a large mosaic of a black Labrador Retriever, to be donated to Patriot Paws Service Dogs in Rockwall.

The Aspasians fundraiser – held at Art’s A Blast in Rockwall, 2845 Ridge Road, Suite 209 – saw each of the ladies paint an 8” x 8” canvas which became a part of the mosaic. The Aspasians plan to display their masterpiece in the Patriot Paws facility located at 245 Ranch Trail just off Horizon Road.

Every year, the Aspasians of Rockwall-Heath hold a similar function at Art’s a Blast to benefit the people of Rockwall County, including its fundraiser a few years ago which saw the group produce a painting which it donated to Helping Hands.

The Aspasians are a group of ladies from the Rockwall-Heath community united for the purpose of friendship and service to others. For over 40 years, they have hosted the Aspasians Arts and Crafts Fair, as well as raising and donating hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarship money in order to help local high school seniors achieve their dream of going to college.

Patriot Paws, a 501(c)(3) organization funded entirely by private funds, helps our country’s heroes by placing service dogs with military veterans across the nation, free of charge.
