Rockwall Rotary recognizes Student of Honor from Cain Middle School

(ROCKWALL, TX _ March 26, 2015) Tucker Smylie, an eighth at Cain Middle School and son of Jim and Tanya Smylie of Rockwall, was recognized by the Rockwall Noon Rotary Club today as a Rotary Student of Honor. He was presented the award during a luncheon program at Rotary Hall.

Cain Middle School principal Megan Gist spoke about Tucker’s academic accomplishments, leadership skills and involvement in campus and community activities.

“Tucker is an outstanding young man. He exhibits high moral character at school and off campus, and volunteers to help those less fortunate,” Gist said. “He is always respectful, always positive, and not afraid of a challenge.”

Gist explained that Tucker was was recently asked to produce a video for his school community – and he went “way above and beyond, and he exceeded everyone’s expectations.”

She added that Tucker wants to make a positive difference not only in our community but in the world.
